Ride Leaders: Jim Woods/George Parsons

Wow! What a day and ride this turned out to be. Bikes started to pull into the Pilot station around 8:45am. By the time Jim gave us a few brief words about where we were going there were 18 bikes, 1 van and 23 people for the ride. The weather was clear and hot. About 30 or so miles down the road Donna and Don pulled over, all of a sudden Donna did not feel well so they decided to turn around and make it back home. At our first rest stop of the day Jim said that his bike was not running right, so after checking it out, he decided to turn around and take it back home. George took over as ride leader and we continued on our ride to Holly Hill, SC. We stopped at Sweatmen’s Bar-B-Que restaurant for lunch, and let me tell you what, that was some of the best Bar-B-Que I have ever eaten in a long time! As we got ready to leave the restaurant and head home, some of us had other plans and went off in different directions. Between the food, fellowship and comradery who could ask for a better way to spend the day?  Thanks Jim and George for a nice Saturday ride.
