Lugoff Sonic & Lake Road Ride

To celebrate the start of Daylight Savings Time (extra hour of ride time) 8 bikes, 12 riders

met at the Lugoff Sonic for burgers. Also Sonic just reopened the patio after a nice remodel.

After a long visit we took a somewhat short but great ride to the Lake Wateree lower landing then the 10 miles of twists of Lake Road. Though we keep the speed down (residential you know), you could hear Deb's WOOOHO around the corners. We stopped at the Colonel Creek landing for a last break as we were loosing the sun (and heat). From there, through Long Town to Ridgeway to Lugoff as members peeled off towards home.

I clocked about 58 miles round trip to Lugoff, short but nice ride.

(Of course, Scott and April probably did 150 miles including from/to home.)

Oh, if you want to do Lake Road right in the early evening, head East, towards Lugoff to have the sun at your back.
