President Jim Woods opened the meeting and thanked everyone for coming.

WOW, 59 people present at tonight’s meeting.  What a great group!!

George Parsons talked about the upcoming rides.  Mack Pierce will lead a ride this Saturday, August 23 to Scranton, SC.  Meet at the Walmart on Forest Drive at 9:00a.m. kick stands up at 9:30 a.m.

We will travel down Percival Road through Camden and Bishopville and lunch at School House Restaurant at noon.  We will come back Highway 378 through Sumter and stop at the Lowes Parking Lot on Sumter Highway.

Bill Reber will lead a ride September 13th to Lone Star and Santee, more information to be posted on the web.

Bill Reber says there are only 9 room left for the overnight ride to Savannah Georgia on September 20th.  The group will visit the 8th Air Force Museum and the Charleston Chapter will probably join up with our group at the museum.  It has been suggested that in support of our military we put yellow ribbons on our bikes.  There is a strong possibility that the media will be there.  They will travel down highway 321 meeting at 9:00 a.m. at the Pilot station at exit 115 of I-26 and highway 321.  The museum has a guided tour and the cost is $5.00 per person, we should arrive there around noon.  The hotel is $48.00 per night and there are lots of restaurants and things to do around the hotel.  The tour and all should finish around 3:00 p.m. on the 19th and the evening is yours to enjoy.
