NEWSLETTER FOR STAR RIDERS COLUMBIA, SC
CHAPTER #124
February 22, 2005

Tonight's meeting began at 7:15 PM. with 43 in attendance.  Visitors tonight included Diane McIntyre.  The drawing tonight was taken home by Joy Mabry in the sum of $62.00, CONGRATULATIONS JOY.

Our next ride is scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2005.  George Parsons is our ride leader.  Meet at the Flying "J" Truck Stop, exit 70 (Hwy 321) on Interstate 20, at 9:15 am., kickstands up at 9.45 am.  The first rest stop will be at Hwy 200 and I-77, George will be guiding everyone through the curves around Lake Wateree.  Lunch will be at either Old South Buffet in Camden, or depending on the general consensus, on to the Boykin Company Grill.  Then home around 3:00 PM. or so.

Jim Ballenger will be leading a ride to Maggie Valley, May 7, 8, and 9, 2005.  He suggests that if you need practice on the curving mountain roads, that you join George Parsons for the Wateree ride.  Good practice for the curves.

A reminder to all that the Young Harris trip is scheduled for September 22-25, 2005.  There is limited space and if you are interested in going, please notify George Parsons as soon as possible.  The room rate is $50./night plus tax.

And last, but certainly not least.  Jim Wood will not be in attendance for our meeting March 21, 2005, as he will be having surgery on the March 14, 2005.  We wish him the very best and a speedy recovery.

Respectfully submitted,
Betsy Gooch, Secretary
