The Rumblings

NEWSLETTER FOR STAR RIDERS COLUMBIA, SC
CHAPTER #124
March 21, 2005

Hi All-

Sorry this is a week late.

Our meeting started at 7:15 pm.  Chaired this evening by George Gooch.  The evening meal and our meeting were blessed by Johnny Frick.  We had 38 members and visitors in attendance and collected $125 dollars for our 50/50 Drawing.  The meeting began with an update on the condition of our very own president, Jim Wood.  He is doing so much better and is slowly coming along.  Please no visitors yet, but soon. (He wants to be able to stay awake during the visit).  In the meantime, cards and (monitory gifts, Hah, hah) will be greatly appreciated.  Our prayers and support to you Jim and a lot of support for Gerri, while Jim recuperates.

Jim Ballenger and his wife, Jenny had a minor accident recently, but both came out with only scratches and bruises.  We are so happy they are all-right and will see them both on upcoming rides.

Steve Lanford has our next two rides in April; watch the message board for the information on those rides.  I know I am looking forward to the riding season.  Thanks Steve.

As is customary (or so it seems) one of our visitors, Jeff Rowlett, who rides a Suzuki 800 Intruder, won our 50/50 to the tune of $62.50.  Congratulations Jeff and welcome to our family.

The visitors this evening were, Elizabeth Hipp, who rides a 750 Shadow Aero and Kitty Clark from Aiken, who rides a Yamaha V-star 1100.  Welcome to our family, we hope you will make a habit of coming to see us and joining us on our rides.

Jim Ballenger has rearranged the trip to the mountains he is planning to go from Friday to Sunday instead of Saturday to Monday.  This should accommodate many more schedules.

Thanks to all for your comments and support of this wonderful group of people, I know that each of you enrich our lives.

Respectfully submitted,
Betsy Gooch, Secretary
