President
Jim Woods opened the meeting and thanked everyone for coming.
Jim
also thanked George Parsons for an excellent ride to Deals Gap. We had a great group to go and a great time was had by all.
We
have several first time attendees tonight so please welcome Jim Huffman, Anne
Smith, Todd Scandrett, Rev. Doug and Marty Lowe, Nancy Willey, Tato and Susan
Martinez. We also had Celeste
Migliorato and Lea Cavallier join us this week. Welcome to all of you and we hope you will be back next
month.
Due
to the Memorial Day weekend there will not be a ride this Saturday but Cajun
will lead a ride on Saturday, May 31st.
Watch for details on the website. He
will leave from Elgin and come by Eason Memorial Baptist Church in Eastover
around lunch time for a Fish Fry and Bake Sale and then continue from there on
the ride. If you can’t make the
ride but want to come to the Fish Fry and Bake Sale on the 31st, the
church is located at 201 Vanboklen St. which is off of highway 601.
Directions will be added to the website before the ride.
Several
people went to Myrtle Beach bike week and had a good time, it started off slow
but had a huge crowd.
The
Leather booth at the Barnyard Flea market will have a pig pickin’ this Sunday
from 11:00 – 2:00. If you have
purchased from him there is no charge, if you have not purchased from him then
there is a small fee.
Johnny
Frick will lead the June ride and the first one is scheduled for June 7th.

Vanessa
Jones, daughter of Shirlene and Bruce will be leaving for California to go to
school. We wish her the very best
of luck and expect to see her at the Christmas Party in December.
She has been a faithful member and we will really miss her while she is
away.
The ticket sales for the drawing this month was for $120.00 and congratulations go to Tato Martinez for winning half which was $60.00.
CLUB MEMBERS SHOULD NOT BE THE ONLY PEOPLE ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN—So, please join us at our next monthly meeting held at Captain George's in Cayce on June 16th, 2003. It will start promptly at 7pm.
