NEWSLETTER FOR STAR RIDERS COLUMBIA, SC
CHAPTER #124 November 21, 2005

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL:

Our November meeting began at 7:15 pm.  Jim Wood  invited our newcomers to announce themselves, tonight's guests were; Morris Faile, rides a Suzuki VL1500 Intruder; Jimmy and Cheryl Willis, ride a Yamaha Midnight Star; Joe and Paula Licketto, have an 05 HD Electra Glide and an 04 VTX1300c.  Welcome to all our guests and we hope you will join our group for rides and future meetings.

Tonight, swaying from the norm, Jim had to ask who might have a new ride.  Well I think we all know Vera well enough, that if it's something new, then Vera has it.  Yes, our own Vera Hanna has purchased the first in the Columbia, SC area, a White 2006 Yamaha Roadliner.   CONGRATULATIONS VERA.  She did say she would let us test ride it.  Does she know what she's getting into?

Tee Shirts: There was a problem with some of the long sleeve colors, but this has been handled and our order will be going in this week.  Gerri continue to take orders for the shirts tonight.  If you have any questions, please contact Gerri Wood on the message board.

Rick Floyd discussed upcoming Charity rides.  Make a note of the following rides;

     12/4/05- Toys For Tots (new unwrapped toy)

     12/11/05- Veterans Ride (don't forget the female vets)  Jim saw a short list of suggested donations and they listed Prepaid Phone Cards along with other items you may not think about.

     12/19/05- And for the die-hards, Our Christmas Party, Beulah Church on Hwy 321.  It would be wonderful to see everyone there.  Reservations and payment need to be sent to Judy Frick no later than the 10th of December.  Last year we had almost 100 attendees.  Let's beat that and enjoy the spirit of the season in the fellowship of our friends.

George Gooch, our ride coordinator, has a sign up list for next years ride leaders; if you would like to lead a ride for us next year please contact George via the message board.  Come lead us on your special ride through and to your special places.

The 50/50 drawing this evening was $67.50 and was won by Scott Haney.  Who also told us about a life experience special to him.
